McBride Homes Schedules Grand Opening for Development in The Hill Neighborhood
McBride Homes, Missouri’s largest home builder, will officially open their new development on The Hill, La Collina, for information on Saturday, March 7th 2020.
The community will offer a new top-of-the-line single family home product with brick fronts reminiscent of The Hill’s traditional neighborhood streetscape, plus rear entry detached garages with rear entry alley access. Pricing will begin from the $270’s.
“We wanted to maintain the historic ‘city feel’ of the Hill as much as possible. Therefore, we immediately knew that we had to create something special for these home buyers,” said John F. Eilermann Jr., CEO and Chairman of McBride Homes. “That’s why we designed our brand new Bellisimo series that we know is going to fit in perfectly with The Hill streetscape.”
McBride Homes will open La Collina for information on March 7th, then start design appointments the following week on March 14th.
McBride’s Avanti display home will officially open for guided tours on March 21st, with the official Grand Opening on March 28th with the start of sales and writing contracts for potential homebuyers.
“We are staggering the dates for our grand opening so people can get as much information as possible before we start writing contracts,” stated Eilermann. “We want everyone to be able to ask questions, tour the display, and experience the home since this is a brand-new product line.”
The Avanti display, a two story 2 bedroom home, is located at the intersection of Hereford Street and Wilson Ave.
Also offered at La Collina will be a three story, 3 bedroom model geared towards growing city-style families that don’t want to uproot from the area.
Both of these new models offer desirable features such as open floorplans, large kitchen spaces, en suite bathrooms, and walk in closets.
After home buyers purchase at La Collina, they will visit McBride’s national award-winning Design Studio located in the Chesterfield Valley to personalize their dream home, where they will choose their flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and more at the 10,000 square foot facility.

The news of McBride Homes’ new development in The Hill neighborhood of St. Louis City has been the talk of the town since the project was first announced in 2019.
The new McBride community, La Collina, will include 58 single family homes total.
The last large market rate single family housing development in the City of St. Louis by McBride Homes was Botanical Heights, which included 175 homes and finished development in 2007.
McBride Homes partnered with the site developer, Draper and Kramer, to develop the site. While McBride is offering single family homes, Draper and Kramer will be developing an apartment complex on the adjacent property.
